Back then...

In high school everything was exciting. Seeing a cute boy down the hall, your tummy gets nervous and you shyly pass by. I miss those feelings. As I've grown up, those feelings are far and few in between. The dating life has become so casual that nothing is exciting anymore. No more first kisses at your door or holding hands in the car on the way to dinner. We are all so wrapped up in playing the 'game' that we miss out on opportunities to really get to know other people. We put ourselves out there through facebook/twitter/blogs to feel connected. Since there is so much information on our fingertips, we skim through it all and don't pick up on things that really matter. It is such a breathe of fresh air when you meet someone who doesn't think its weird to text you right after saying "hey it was great to meet you". Its fun when your ringtone goes off instead of your text message ping.

Let's go back to the days of actually talking on the phone and going on dinner dates.
